(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center management software provider Rackwise announced on Monday that it ecommerce web hosting firm SimpleHelix has chosen its DCIM software as a service offering to plan, manage and optimize its IT infrastructure.
According to the press release, SimpleHelix provides hosting for more than 12,000 customers worldwide. It required a DCIM tool that was easy to learn, install and use, as well as a tool that integrated with Excel. SimpleHelix said it chose RackWise’s solution for it’s non-proprietary approach as well as its drag and drop asset tracking and management tools built on the Visio platform.

Rackwise Data Center Manager allows companies to optimize power, cooling, space, servers, networks, cables and more. It addresses virtualization, asset management, virtual machine management, and provides real time monitoring, according to its website.
